At Marine Upholstery by Val we aspire to turn old to new, for a much cheaper price, we are an interior design company meaning we turn an aged tired seating area within a boat, caravan or campervan, to a new luxury bespoke seating area for you to socialise. We are able to take a boat seating area that’s been seasoned and worn down and we use our outstanding upholstery skills to refurbish the seating area to look brand-new.

This doesn’t just apply to people who own a boat or caravan this applies to people who own a nice seating area and wish to get new upholstery cushions for their seating area. However, this also applies to business men/women as if you purchased a beaten up boat, but your intentions are to clean it up and sell it on with a good profit margin, then re upholstery is a really cheap way to up the value of a boat or caravan still with lots of room to make a good profit. In addition, we also can make extra scatter cushions to match your upholstery and the size of the cushions can vary to small or large marvelous sized cushions.

Furthermore, we also recover dining room chairs, which could match your new seating area and cushions! We also make curtains; our curtains can be lined with a blackout lining to provide darkness to your room. We are also available to flatpack too. It doesn’t stop there though, Val will come to measure up and template a job up to a 50-mile radius from her location and she will email you a quote within 24 hours, once you have selected your material, buttons and all the specifics, Marnie will be able to make your new upholstery from her own premises.

When choosing your fabric there are various types of fabric for example; faux leather, chenille, faux linen, velvet, weave, vinyl…. and the list goes on, but you have more of a variety than you do when buying the caravan or boat, you can add great value to your boat or caravan, however we understand that not every person is looking to add value and some simply wish to make their family holiday home last longer but still feel like a holiday and that’s what we are here for. We can transform a seasoned caravan to feel like a new holiday home for you and your loved ones to enjoy.

“I took the bunks down to the boat today and fitted the new bunks.  Brilliant.  A great fit and a great look.  And then this afternoon we sat on the patio with a couple of bottles of wine and the evening meal in the sun.  But we looked into the Conservatory and decided that the upholstery you had recovered for us last year was utterly excellent.  A top job.  We are so pleased and it is a delight to look at.  To look at the skill is just a pleasure.

Thank you so much for all the work you did for us.”

“Last week, I took delivery of my new upholstery for the saloon, chart table seat and a cover to go over my hanging locker.

I used ‘Marine Upholstery By Val’, based in Clacton but will travel to most east coast marinas I believe.

I was very impressed with the information, advice and communication prior to order being placed and am absolutely thrilled with the appearance, comfort and standard of craftsmanship now that the items have arrived. The cost was very reasonable indeed and I’ll be sure to use Val for any future upholstery work. She is able to do boats, campers and probably everything in between!

Can’t recommend highly enough!

I have no link to the company, just a very very happy customer!”
